Travel Guide: 5 Days Cebu-Bohol Itinerary: Day 5- Virgin Islands

Our last day of vacation started at 5:00 AM. It was a hectic final day because we had an early Sea Side Tour and in the afternoon we returned to Cebu to catch our flight to Manila.

Since the sunrise is wonderful we  also did a quick photo shoot for Paul and Liza.

It took us 45 minutes to reach the location. Since we came from Dumulaluan beach, traveling is farther compared to coming from Alona Beach.

And then a group of dolphins appeared. 🙂  Though they swim in a flash, the spotters or our tour guides can still chase them.

When we had enough pictures we continue our journey to the next stop, the Balicasag Island.

Alight the beach, they provided us snorkeling gears.  Here, you can rent flippers  too since the snorkeling area is very shallow. They gave us a time to use the comfort room and chill for a moment.

We went back to the sea to begin our dive.  Since the water is crystal clear, you can already observe the beautiful corals even if you don’t get off .

The underwater view is amazing and there are a lot of fishes to feed too.

Nevertheless, that 20-30 mins of snorkeling is FUN!!!

Our last destination is the Virgin Islands.

This is the popular sandbar in Bohol and yes, I was in awe when I set foot on the island. 🙂

It was almost lunch when we landed. Good thing there are vendors around.

We ate banana cue and had fresh coconut juice.. YUMMY!!!

Manong also offered us to eat Sea Urchin.  Out of curiosity our group tried it. It only cost ₱50.00. The Urchin is poisonous but Manong managed to prepare the dish unharmed.

As for the taste… I compare it to the crabs aligue ( Crab Fat). It was good.

Around 1:00 PM when Kuya Jaycer picked us. Although he was in a hurry to get the next group of tourists he was kind enough to drop us at  Sinugba ni Abdul Chicken Ati – Atihan for a quick lunch.

The restaurant is just a walking distance to the port.

We arrived in Mactan Airport around 7:00 PM, just in time for dinner. But since our flight is still 11:00 PM we waited for few hours. 🙁

Sleepy! 😀

Once  allowed to check in, fortunately, the airline crew offered us a transfer to an earlier flight. Of course we took it. Whew!

  1. That sea urchin doesn’t look like any I’ve ever seen before. So interesting! Also didn’t know that they were poisonous. Haha good thing they’re experienced in how to prepare it properly.
